Boeza River

The Boeza River is located in the northwestern of Spain. It originates in the western foothills of the Pico de la Rebeza, in the northern part of the Sierra de Gistredo, about 1830 mbsl near Colinas del Campo de Martín Moro Toledano (Igüeña) on the border between El Bierzo and Omaña (León). It is a tributary of the Sil River, which it joins in Ponferrada. The landscape is steep, abrupt and with abundant wild vegetation. The main tree is the birch tree. Life also flows through the river and it is possible to observe along its course some families of otters. Amoung its mountains it is worth mentioning La Gándara, Bustes or Matacabaña.
