The Ribeira da Granja Observation Centre is located on the banks of the River Douro in the city of Porto, in a transition area from the river to its mouth. It was built so that people could observe the biodiversity of birds that exist along the Douro River. A pair of binoculars and a panel describing the species are available, and it is possible to observe birds such as the heron, the cormorant or the great tit.
